Will the Health Care Exec. Order on Abortions do anything?

Post image for Will the Health Care Exec. Order on Abortions do anything?

I meant to post this a couple weeks ago, but Ron Paul makes some really good points. The more time that goes by, the more sense this guy is making on these issues.  One of the key words for everyone to understand is “fungible.”

Although, it is my understanding at this point that people can sort of opt out of the health care “mandate”…as long as they pay a tax penalty. In other words, you are punished for it and the gov gets your money for it either way. But this is a point that even the democratic legislators who passed the stinkin’ thing aren’t even clear on. Oy!

I’d agree with you that the more I hear Ron Paul speak the more I like him. Way back during the republican presidential primaries I thought he was a nutcase (at least on foreign policy). He was the only candidate that my opinion of increased during the primaries. A year and a half later I am a diehard Ron Paul supporter. Paul is not Catholic but his views really mirror Thomas Aquinas’s that all things that are immoral should not be illegal. Ron Paul 2012!

Elizabeth…I’m very similar! I’m still not sure on some of his foreign policy yet, and it did put me for awhile. But the more I heard him speak, the more sense he make – particularly in terms of economics and the fed and the role of government in general. Overall, I’ve found him to be a very honest and principled person, which – regardless of whether you agree with him fully – is a rare quality in Washington. He’s very smart and always stays above the political games. In fact, I can’t think of a better politician in that regard. I’m a fan.

And yes, I also find his views to reflect a very Catholic understanding of the world.
