But not only because it's a way to understand that we are already immortal because Christ saved us. Actually I think vampires belong to the fairy tales world, described by Tolkien in Faërie, and may be linked to the fact that we need to be enchanted in This world and that every writer has a part to play in this task, describing worlds and creatures good or evil but beyond our reality. Thus fairy tales are an inviation not only to the quest of immortality but to the true fairy tale which is the Gospel, a fairy tale at work every day.
