I think our whole culture is dumbed down when it comes to anything except technology. We can figure out our TVs and computers and iPads and cell phones just fine. I suppose we also do alright with TV personalities and pop-music.  But when it comes to literature, religion, philosophy or anything metaphysical, we are dumb. [...]
