Here’s a great new video ad by CatholicVote (embedded below) highlighting one of the most important (but not talked about much by the media) issues for this current election cycle. The Obama administration has relentlessly and quietly continued to undermine religious liberty in our country in every way that it serves their agenda – often [...]
Religion
“So far as a man may be proud of a religion rooted in humility, I am very proud of my religion; I am especially proud of those parts of it that are most commonly called superstition. I am proud of being fettered by antiquated dogmas and enslaved by dead creeds (as my journalistic friends repeat [...]
There are those who flat out “hate religious people,” but there are far more who are simply down on “organized” religion. Religion itself is fine, just don’t go getting organized about it. Of course, “organized religion” is a big, easy target for critics, well, because it’s organized. It’s an organization – not just some individual. [...]

It’s part laziness and part busy-ness. We’re too busy with media and with constantly reacting to a world that is daily and relentlessly thrust [...]

But sometimes it’s sad how exclusively secular point-of-views often miss some obvious stuff – and even when they are uncomfortably reaching outside the bounds of their scientific comfort zone. From a recent post there:
I find this stuff really interesting. I read a book called The Death of the West, by Pat Buchanan, years ago that goes into depth on the subject. It’s an excellent read and a very interesting study.
There’s a weird understanding in our polite culture that we never discuss religion or politics. I say always discuss them. I don’t mean like constantly talk about religion and politics. But to always make sure and talk about it. And certainly don’t never discuss religion and politics.
