leaf upon the water

This song recently became one of my favorite songs. The way the delicate words roll off of this voice and into the melody is, quite simply, beautiful. Not only do the words have such profound meaning, while also being brilliantly poetic and melodic, but it all meshes together perfectly as one. It is song at [...]

Lady Antebellum - Star Spangled Banner

Last night I heard one of the most beautiful versions of the Star Spangled Banner (audio below). It was sung by Lady Antebellum at game 2 of the World Series. It was the best (and only good) part of the night…since the Rangers were shut-out. I’m not a big fan of versions of the Star [...]

Post image for Awesome: Medley of TV show songs…with a twist

I’m impressed. Here are some really talented twins performing a sweet medley of a ton of your favorite TV show theme songs. The only twist is that they aren’t really twins…it’s the same guy. Nice. Brings back some memories, too. (Watch below)

Mary's nativity and the Salve Regina

The Church actually celebrated Mary’s birthday yesterday in the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Instead of the traditional “happy birthday” song…how about a little Salve Regina! While first being a beautiful prayer, its musical renditions are among the most beautiful songs in the world.  And because of that it is enjoyed [...]

Phatmass logo

Preaching Holy Apostolic Truth:  That’s what the “PHAT” in phatmass stands for.  And if you’ve never checked out phatmass.com, you should head on over there for a visit.  They currently even have Fallible Blogma as their “Pheatured Pheed” – which is pretty sweet and an honor. Among countless other faithfully Catholic things, on phatmass.com you’ll [...]

Not that atheism is new at all.  And not that it doesn’t pop up over and over again throughout history in different forms.  But it seems to be getting a particularly large number of looks lately from searching souls.  At least enough to warrant the writing of lots of books on the topic.
