Many are unaware of the close connection between racist eugenics and the proliferation of birth control. Many of the original sterilization, abortion and birth control movements, including Planned Parenthood, were at least partially motivated by a desire to “purify” the human race. It seems implausible to most of us today, but now so does slavery. [...]
