CatholicVote.com wants to run an ad for the Super Bowl that makes one, simple, honest point that every human can agree on. That’s what makes this ad so powerful. And that’s exactly why NBC rejected it.  They claim that they are not interested in advertisements involving “political advocacy or issues.”  Sure they aren’t.

March for Life Tens of thousands (perhaps more) showed up to march on Washington and demand real change.  And even though the press every year largely tries to pretend it didn’t happen – it’s good. Front Page Blogma I was honored to have my book review of “The Fathers” (by Pope Benedict XVI) featured on [...]

Obama is set to sign an executive order today lifting the ban on U.S. federal aid for abortions. This is no surprise. Reagan originally put this ban in place in 1984. It essentially restricted organizations who receive U.S. funds from using that money to then perform or promote abortions with it. In other words, Reagan [...]

The battle lines are already forming as the pro-life and pro-family community brace themselves for the Obama administration. Last week the US Conference of Catholic Bishops released a letter to Obama with concerns for his proposed agenda. Looking to build on all of his campaign rhetoric of unity and coming together, they articulated some very [...]

Is Barack Obama already breaking campaign promises? It appears that way. And he hasn’t even moved into the White House yet! At least Bill Clinton and George H. W. Bush waited a couple years before breaking their campaign promises on taxes. Barack Obama just ran a campaign against the Bush tax cuts and how they [...]

It’s easy to lose hope in a culture that continually challenges and contradicts our Faith. And in many ways it is our response to those challenges that build up our faith the most. But it’s also nice to often remember the many positive and good things that are happening in the world, too. So here [...]

Although this election did not go as many of us would have liked and did not go in favor of LIFE, I am still a person of great hope – hope in our country, our world, and most importantly our God. Now, as much as ever, it is important for us as Catholics, Americans and [...]

Charisma A rare personal quality attributed to leaders who arouse fervent popular devotion and enthusiasm. A personal attractiveness or ‘interestingness’ that enables you to influence others. Barack Obama Yesterday I talked about the historic significance of Barack Obama’s presidency.  And certainly it is, indeed, historic.  But the question has been and will continue to be [...]
