President Obama has continually told us that the health care legislation will not federally fund/subsidize abortion. Not only that, but he has repeatedly criticized others as “bearing false witness” and spreading misinformation when they insisted he wasn’t telling the truth. It has been quite clear that any of the serious legislation in congress up to [...]

OSLO — President Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday in a stunning decision designed to encourage his initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism. [full story] If the Nobel Committee had anything left to lose, they just lost it. There [...]

Post image for Obama misleads the Pope?

I haven’t gotten to follow up as much as I’ve wanted to on the meeting between Obama and Pope Benedict.  Another related important story is how Obama’s health care plan includes a lot of federal (your) money to pay for abortions.  The following article by Deal Hudson hits on both:  Did President Obama mislead the [...]

So far 65 Bishops of the 195 U.S. Dioceses have spoken out against Fr. Jenkins’. Every single one of them were critical of Jenkins’ decision to invite Obama to Notre Dame graduation commencement and to award him with an honorary degree.  In 65 different ways they’ve basically said “this was a bad/wrong decision that has [...]

Obama has been a busy guy over his first 100 days of his presidency.  And he’s definitely had a lot of tough challenges thrown on his plate.  Amazingly, on top of being able to spend the most money in the history of the world during one of our worst economies, he hasn’t forgotten at all [...]

Ok, as if it wasn’t already obvious that Fr. Jenkins inviting Obama as a commencement speaker at Notre Dame this year and awarding him an honorary degree was a huge mistake, I’m not sure it can get much clearer now.

I’ve had a number of people tell me about this really neat project called The Red Envelope Project.  It’s a worthy project and is a neat, effective, peaceful way to begin to express the outrage most Americans feel about Abortion and any actions that disrespect the dignity of human life.

Growing up, Notre Dame was my favorite university. I don’t know why really. I think mostly because I loved their football team and, later, the movie Rudy. It wasn’t because I was Catholic at all, which would have been perhaps legitimate. And being born and raised a Texican, allegiance to a school north of the [...]

It is truly unreal (like I can’t fathom it) to me that so many Americans vote for politicians who think this is ok. This is not exaggeration or hyperbole to make a point. They literally believe that what you see in this video should continue to be allowed to happen in our country.

Some of these politiscientethical issues our country is facing right now drive me bananas.  And most of what drives me bananas is how ideologically driven they are.  It’s unfortunate.  And unfortunately, human lives are at stake. Human lives are at stake in that we are dealing with possible cures that will save lives.  But they [...]

Since Daschle wasn’t cuttin’ it, Obama has made a new nomination for Secretary of Health and Human Services. Unfortunately, it’s probably even more disappointing than Daschle. Given Obama’s staunchly pro-abortion political history, we should expect to get a “pro-choice” person in this position in his cabinet. That’s the sad truth. This is what America voted [...]
