Seminar for Catholic Leaders: The web and social media

powerbuttonI am teaming up with Josh Simmons, of eCatholicChurches, to do a tour of FREE eMinistry Seminars.  If you or your parish, diocese, school or organization are interested in learning about how to best leverage the web and social media within the Church, this seminar will be helpful.

Whether you are totally new to the web or a semi-pro, we will have something valuable for you.

We’ll be talking on:

  • How to build an effective website and utilize it in your ministry
  • How to use the web to communicate better
  • How to use social networking and other online tools to our advantage
  • The future of these technologies and where it’s all heading within the Catholic Church
  • And much, much more.

We will also be doing a short demonstration of some online tools, such as eCatholicChurches.com and, of course, flockNote.com and TweetCatholic.com.

Right now we have seminars scheduled for the Dioceses of Austin, San Antonio, Amarillo, Dallas, Fort Worth, Tyler, and Houston.

They are totally free for anyone to attend.  Registration information and other details can be found here.

I would really appreciate it if you would forward this invitation along to anyone you know who is involved in Catholic ministry.  Whether they work in a diocese, parish, school or other organization this seminar will help them.  We’ll have pastors, webmasters, business managers, leaders and many other active Catholics in attendance.

And if you would like us to come out to a diocese not on our list yet, please let us know!  We’d be happy to work something out!  Just contact me and let us know your interest.

The archdiocese of Miami desperately needs this. Hopeful with the new arch bishop we can implement this.
