Remembering 9-11

9-11 trubute towers

I hope we’ll never forget this tragedy. It should always remain a reminder of many things, including just how fragile life and the privileges that come with it are. It should especially remind us of our freedom to fully express and live out our faith. America is a unique place in this regard compared to many parts of the world.

But no matter what your circumstances and no matter who you are, any tragedy should remind each of us of our undeniable personal freedom to accept or deny God in our life.

Here is a powerful video involving the attacks on 9/11:

We can’t control when we die. But we can control if we’re ready when it happens. And no person or thing can stop you from being ready…except yourself. Let us pray for the people and families of all those who suffer unjustly in our world, especially today for those affected by 9-11. Let us pray for peace. And let us be ready.

Here is a good reminder of what happened on that tragic day, 8 years ago:

I remember exactly where I was.  Do you?

If you want to read more about some of the victims of the 9/11 attacks, check out the Project 2996 (which I found on Catherine Favazza’s website).
