“The day my son was born, I simultaneously died and was reborn. Every day before that day, my life had been about me and what I wanted the world to give me. Every day since, my life necessarily has been about what I can give to someone else. And that, I think, is why the world needs more children – and more parents.” – some coffee cup

Jeremy Casella has a song about this called “Born Again” – on his album Recovery.
You can find it on iTunes here: http://tinyurl.com/djl5b5.
Jeremy’s a friend of mine – you’ll also find him on my Facebook friends.
I can’t wait until I am a parent and I can feel that way too.
Congratulation on the birth of your son. The world also need more Holy people. May your son lead the next generation.
And to think our Lord looks at us like this… :)
Matt,
So true is this. I try to explain that to friends that are becoming parents for the first time. But I fear this is something that must be experienced and words cannot fully explain. Good work and please keep it up! Your blog brings me a smile and a need break during busy days at work. Pax Vobis!
It is an amazing experience Matt, is it not?! Praying for you… and CONGRATS!
Congratulations to you and your wife! How amazing it must be to co-create with God. He gives the most amazing gifts.
I saw from your post on Twitter that your son and I share a birthday. I said a special prayer for him when I saw the announcement.
Prays and blessings for all of you.
