Quote of the Day: The complete abandon of self

“Few souls understand what God would accomplish in them if they were to abandon themselves unreservedly to Him and if they were to allow His grace to mold them accordingly.” – St. Ignatius of Loyola

We use the word faith a lot. This is what it actually means to have it.

BEAUTIFUL! I’m currently undergoing the Ignatian Exercises and cannot more highly recommend them to any soul who desires to become Holy:) St. Ignatius is a true gladiator of a spiritual athlete training his fellow brethren to become the triathlon Saints of all time! We, struggling souls, pedaling our way through the mazes of our daily obstructing challenges, preserving through the temptations against the seven capital sins, and running the race into our Beloved’s sweetest embrace! St. Ignatius, pray for us!

Matt, this is Toni Garrett Ali’s friend – she introduced me to your blogma and I LOVE it…great work on your part. I also think this is a marvelous quote, but not just about faith, but also hope-trust in the Lord and of course Love.
