“Be humble and you will never be disturbed. It is very difficult in practice because we all want to see the result of our work. Leave it to Jesus.” – Mother Teresa
I know I struggle with this a lot. Any time I get “disturbed” it is most often a lack of humility on my part. And to leave the results of our good works to Jesus is not only a great act of humility, but it’s also a great act of faith. God asks us to be faithful in all things, not necessarily successful. We can leave that part to Him.

Amen.
Offer it up, I try to do that in difficult situations. Another remedy might be trying to find time to go on a silent retreat, where one is just silent and read the psalms and go to adoration, go to confession, go to Mass.
Question: Is it humble if somebody calls themselves humble?
How hard it is in our culture to be truly humble. I believe in fact it’s impossible on a human scale – without God’s grace that is. On our own we can barely resist the slightest “injustice”, but with God’s help, all things are possible. This is a constant, minute by minute struggle that we’ll endure all our lives, but one that forces us to constantly seek God’s help.
Amen, amen and amen.
Artie, I love that question!
I feel compelled to answer; however, in my own humility, I shall leave it as a rhetorical question for everyone to ponder. (read: dripping with sarcasm)
