		<description>Goodness, you must live in the flats. Up here in the mountains, all the weaker streams flow into the larger river (the Columbia) that carries the water out to the ocean. However, I got to thinking about where I used to live in Florida. It is true that the more level the land is, the slower the water courses and branches do indeed break off from the greater river and most of these do indeed end in swamps and stagnation.  ~hunh~ Interesting analogy.</description>
