This is the problem with most politicians. They regurgitate what their speech writers and handlers tell them. Very few ever spend anytime getting to know the issue they discuss well enough to avoid the appearance of ignorance. Poor Bill, he’s had a career full of this and still has not learned to educate himself on these types of issues.

I think we should pray for President Clinton’s, and other politician’s, conversion and abundant blessings of wisdom. If our leaders are not converted and wise, then many of our people will not be. Pax Vobis!

Great discussion on this topic guys. Thanks for starting it Matt. My wife and I were on a confirmation retreat this weekend with about 90 high school youth and about 25 adults. I was able to discuss this with many of them and no one could believe that Clinton could possibly be that “ignorant” or especially that Dr. Gupta could be so “sloppy” in his interview. He’s generally a very professional, although obviously liberal-leaning medical professional. CNN and the main stream media love him. That he sat there and let Clinton make that statement twice during his interview, seems very suspicious. In addition, a man trained in parcing syllables as Bill Clinton is, would unlikely make such a simple error without forethought. He went into the interview knowing exactly what he was going to be asked. Can you imagine that he didn’t have at least some notes prepared by his staffers before he went in? Is it plausible that he’s really just that “ignorant”?
I hate to sound cynical, but after living through 8 years of his presidency and now almost 9 years of his ex-presidency, I’m inclined to believe that there’s something more sinister going on here. At the very least, the Devil is working through CNN, Clinton and Gupta. More likely, they’ve all conspired to intentionally put out this misinformation knowing that the vast majority of folks watching won’t even catch the error and simply take it as “fact”. One more drip in the constant deluge promoting the Culture of Death.

Can you imagine if a pro-life person had shown this kind of ignorance? It would be plastered on the front page of every newspaper and the topic of every news and talk show. It would be in every google search you typed up.

But when it happens to a pro-abortion person? Not a word from the main stream media pointing out the blatant ignorance of a former president of the United States.

I would say it’s unbelievable if stuff like this didn’t happen all the time. But it’s cases like this where the bias is absolutely undeniable.

Not to mention that it is leaders like this that are deciding policy on these matters!!!! Are you kidding me!?!?

Wow, I learned about embryos in biology. This is basic to the survival of the human race, to know how it works, how the egg when fertilized becomes an embryo. It seems like the guy (doctor) on CNN was afraid to correct former President Clinton, or maybe he was paid off not to say anything. Not sure. But I do hope that Bill Clinton takes a little basic biology lesson soon!
Not to mention the souls of those little ones!

I may be totally off base here (although I don’t think I am) Here is the way I see it: how many women did God ask before our Blessed Mary said “Yes”? It’s kind of the same way with the petri dish embryos; so many don’t become embryos, they just don’t blend with the blessings of God. Then there are the ones that become embryos, able to live, God had a hand in that and they have a soul from the first second. There is no possible way a human can make something that wonderful on their own. They all have a purpose from God, sadly the scientists don’t think this way and they kill them. Maybe God’s pupose has been for some of these children to creat a cure for cancer or peace and they have been killed! Why God continues to trust us humans with His precious children is beyond me, hopefully that means He hasn’t given up hope for us yet.
