Children fill your heart. That’s what the ful-FILL-ment of life is all about. Love comes alive in a whole new person who will live for all eternity. It doesn’t get any better than that.. until heaven, of course.

I am the oldest of 12 children, and am a mother of 4 children(of this world-3 children were misscarried, so in total I have 7). My father worked for the post office, my mother stayed home to raise us. I was abandoned by my ex-husband when I was 7 mos. pregnant with my 4th child. In both instances people would look at us in the “kids are a burden” mentally and spiritually warped attitude and think my mom and I were both nuts. I love my brothers and sisters, I love my children, and cannot imagine this world without any one of them. It was a struggle for my mother, it was a struggle for me, but all of my siblings and children grew up to be good and loving people, and that is what makes life worth living in this world, right? Empty arms makes for self-absorbed empty hearts. Saying “no” to God when He desires to give life is like the “no” Adam and Eve said when they did not trust God, and denied His goodness and love as they gave into their own selfish will. Everything to loose, and nothing to gain when we defy and deny Our Heavenly Father.

As great a blessing as I am sure they are, I imagine there are other gifts and lessons that are missed by having them…every path has a reward and a cost. Not everyone will be legitimately called to it (sorry if I sound too hopeful, that’s my curmudgeon showing). ‘Because one can’ doesn’t seem to me to be justification enough.

interesting…but I don’t know if children cost the amount given in the video because I know many families who do not make that much money and yet can afford to take care of and raise their children
