I recently found a neat website: Values.com. They have a lot of great little TV spots promoting the universal values that just make life better. Good stuff.
One video in particular stuck out to me as a father. It’s called “Wet Cement” and has to do with patience (one of the 12 fruits of the Holy Spirit).

Gripping! I was biting my tongue just watching it. :P I think the kid was just a little too old, or he may have been big for his age though. A toddler would make a little more sense.
Anyway, the message is great. I remember the ads the Mormons used to put out. They had one where the kid was looking over Dad’s shoulder asking about the book he was writing in. The dad answered that it’s a book he writes in to keep track of all the important people he has to meet with. The kid says, “Oh. Am I in there?” Gets ya’.
In Christ,
Lucy

Thanks Matt. I’d been wondering who was behind these ads and your posting made me go look into it. What I found makes me even happier to pass them along. Go check out Philip Anschutz on Google and Wikipedia and you’ll have even more reason to like what he’s doing with this foundation.
