Good Fridays: Ten reasons the pro-life movement is winning

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had “pro-lifers” tell me that it’s pointless to protest abortion, abortion laws, and our abortion culture. They say “it doesn’t do any good.” Or “it will always be legal no matter what you do.” “People are going to get abortions anyway – even if you make it illegal or try to stop them.”

They are utterly hopeless. And truly, I think they are often cowering from their civil and political responsibility to actively support the pro-life movement. Either they’re afraid to stand up for their beliefs, or they don’t really believe them all that much in the first place.  Either way – they’re wrong.

The truth is that there is hope – plenty of it. In many ways we are winning. These ways are often hard to measure and quantify, are happening much more slowly than we would like, and they certainly aren’t trumpeted about in the media. But they’re there and they are very real.

Fr. Pavone, of Priests for life, has an article on his website highlighting Ten Reasons Why the Pro-life Movement is Winning. Check it out.  And have a good friday and happy Divine Mercy Sunday!

Nice article, good points.

Something else that should be on that list: Testimonials from those that have survived literal abortions…babies that didn’t die.
