Easter is a Season

I hope everyone had a wonderful and blessed Easter Sunday celebrating the resurrection of our Lord! Just a friendly reminder that Easter is not only a day – but a season. And it lasts from Easter Sunday until Pentecost Sunday! A 50 day celebration!

Forget about Mardi Gras. If we celebrate that much before Lent…how much more should we be celebrating now? It should be a 50 day party.

And the Church gives us so many great feasts, events, and commemorations during this Easter season to teach us, remind us, and deepen our faith. Don’t forget to embrace every one of them.  Happy Eastertide!

Don’t forget, every day in the Octave of Easter is a Solemnity. That includes Friday, April 29th. Friday Penance is optional this upcoming Friday.
