Bring Back Matt Warner

I’m smiling as I write this. Partially because of how awesome life is when you have great friends and family. And partially because I never imagined having one of these…

A Facebook page dedicated to getting my Facebook account re-enabled.

It was created by my cousin this afternoon and already has friends and family becoming “fans” and signing the petition on there.  Pretty awesome.

Anyway, if you are on Facebook, I – at the risk of seeming way too self important – would greatly appreciate it if you would go to this page, become a fan, and sign the petition on there.  And please tell anyone else about the page that knows me or may be interested in helping as well. It’s kinda fun – I promise.

If we can respectfully get the attention of Facebook staff maybe they’ll bring me back soon.  I hope so!  God bless you all and thank you!

I agree!

OK, I sent Facebook an email asking them to reinstate your account. I got this kindv loony response from them — clearly something is not right in Facebook Land. No comments follow their response — none is really needed.

“Hi,

Our systems indicate that the email address you are writing from is not associated with an account that has been warned or disabled. Please be aware that you must email us directly from the email address associated with the account in question in order for us to assist you.

Be sure to provide your full name and a brief description of the problem you are experiencing in your response, and include all of our prior correspondence so that we can refer to your original inquiry. If you are unable to send a message from your login email address, please list the email address in your response and we will look into this matter further.

If your inquiry is not related to a warning or a disabled account, please visit our Help Center at http://www.facebook.com/help.php

Thanks,

The Facebook Team”

Hey Bill – I greatly appreciate that! Yeah, they seem a bit understaffed or something in the support dept lately!

What address did you email at facebook?

I know some people got that same automated response when sending to disabled@facebook.com . I think others had more success with appeals@facebook.com .

Thanks again!

I just happened upon your blog tonight while researching how to get my Facebook account reinstated after it was disabled in much the same way yours was (no warnings, etc.). I feel like I’m beating my head against the wall and it’s only been two days!

Did you or your friends get any response from the “Bring Back Matt Warner” page? My friends offered to do the same thing, but I would hate for them to be flagged as FB dissidents for supporting someone that the bots have deemed unworthy.

Stacy – I didn’t hear of anyone in the group getting a response. So officially, I don’t think the group helped. It may have helped unofficially though – there’s really no way to tell. I don’t think it hurt though!

And I think as long as you are respectful about it, I don’t see why anyone would get in trouble or labeled as dissidents.

Most of all, be persistent(but not annoying) and be patient. I wouldn’t be surprised if it takes a month or more to get your account back. But maybe not at all. The only experience I have is with my own account.

Hope that helps!

Hey, did you get reinstated? I was disabled this morning for no apparent reason and am jumping through hoops, but no reply from FB…..please advise.
